dear you,
Happy december. I love that we are in the world together.
As we navigate end-of-the-calendar-year introspection, I wanted to offer an opportunity for humor and obliteration in equal measure. This offering is equally as capacious re: the craft of writing as it is the craft of human-ing.
This episode of the podcast discussing perfection, and how abstraction can be broken down in order to create the concrete. It also has a few opportunities for laughter, and who doesn’t need that about now? Listen here.
I love you.
xo,
july

Writing prompt: think about the ‘pace’ of something you’re mulling over right now, be it an emotion, a decision, a consideration of 2021, or something else. Try to see if you can ‘map’ at what pace the thinking of this something takes. Use the map to create form. Obliterate it with repetition. What comes up? What survives? What beauty comes from the wreck?
